Dr Igna Van den Veyver
Igna is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Molecular and Human Genetics, and Director of Prenatal and Reproductive genetics at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX, USA. She conducts research on the genetics and epigenetics of human developmental and reproductive disorders and on bringing novel genetic and genomic testing strategies into prenatal diagnosis. She is an investigator of the multicenter PrenatalSEQ study, which evaluates the impact of trio genome sequencing for prenatal diagnosis. She is also does research on development and validation of new non-invasive prenatal diagnosis methods. She is past president of the International Society for Prenatal Diagnosis and an associate editor of Prenatal Diagnosis.
